CITY College Brighton and Hove’s new Construction and Trades Centre has celebrated a significant milestone with a traditional topping out ceremony.
This marked Osborne, the project’s building company, reaching the highest point of the new £9 million build in Wilson Avenue, which is due to be completed by spring 2017.
The centre has been funded by the Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and will enable students in the different trades to work together and follow each other through the construction process, mirroring real site conditions.
City College’s chief executive Nick Juba said: "The college is delighted to join with Osborne to celebrate this milestone. This centre will be a vital new educational facility that the city can be proud of."
