STAFF at a marketing business have been getting muddy - but all for a worthwhile cause.
Pearce Marketing - based in Eastbourne - raised £1320 for the Now! Charity Group in a major muddy teamwork challenge.
The Pearce Marketing and Friends team took on the Tough Mudder event near Crawley, completing an 11-mile course with 21 epic obstacles.
These included the aptly-named Kiss the Mud, King of the Swingers, Arctic Enema, The Blockness Monster and Electroshock Therapy.
MD Emma Pearce said: "It was a unique event that made you face your fears, enjoy enormous camaraderie and embrace the mud."
The charity’s main activities include Training Now! - a service that helps those in need with free workshops and courses to build confidence and skills to get into work in Hailsham and Eastbourne
It also operates Furniture Now!, which offers very low cost new, second-hand and refurbished home and office furniture.
Petrina Mayson, chief executive of Now! Charity, said: "This was a very daring fundraising exercise - we are so grateful for their efforts and glad everyone survived."
