A man has been arrested after a car overturned in a crash from which a baby escaped miraculously unharmed.
Members of the public flagged down police officers to the scene in Meredith Road, Worthing where a silver VW Golf was found on its roof at 11.45am.
It is believed to have smashed into with four parked vehicles before coming to a stop. A Nissan, Honda, Volkswagen and Kia were all found with damage.
The passengers of the overturned car, a 24-year-old local woman and and a baby, were not injured.
A 31-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested nearby on suspicion of possession of cannabis and driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs.
He has been bailed until 21 December pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing for witnesses who can email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1633 of 11/11.
