THERE is slow traffic in Hove after a water main burst this morning.
One lane is closed and there is slow traffic on the A259 Kingsway at Brittany Road near The Gather Inn.
Temporary traffic lights in use.
A Southern Water spokeswoman said: "We’re currently on site to deal with a 6in burst main on Kingsway.
"Our crew will begin the repair within the hour.
"Traffic control is currently in place so we can fix the burst as quickly as possible.
"We are hoping to take away the lights later this afternoon."
She added at 5pm: “Our crew has fixed the 6in burst main and reinstatement of the road has begun.
"The road is concrete so we need to allow a little extra time for it to settle and cure before we remove the temporary traffic lights.
"We’re sorry for any inconvenience."
