POLICE arrested a man in the early hours of this morning after the window of a takeaway food shop was smashed.
The commotion happened in Castle Square, Brighton, at about 12.25am when a patrolling police unit was flagged down by shop staff.
Police detained a man on suspicion of criminal damage.
He was further arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated harassment.
A van was requested to transport the man to custody where he remained at 11.30am today.
