A MAN was taken to hospital after a car crashed into a house.
Emergency services were called to Upper Shoreham Road, Shoreham, at about half past midnight today.
Police said a car collided with a wall and struck the front of the detached property.
A man believed to be the driver was found nearby and taken to hospital.
No other vehicles were involved and there were no other injuries.
A fire crew was called because of smoke coming from the car's engine. A spokeswoman said no one was trapped and there was no fire. She added that structural engineers found the house was safe and a family were allowed to stay inside.
Police enquiries are continuing.
