A man is in hospital with serious injuries following a dispute in a supermarket.
The argument between two parties took place in Aldi, in London Road, Brighton, at about 5.25pm yesterday, which led to a further altercation between them in nearby Ann Street.
During the incident, a 49-year-old man from Brighton suffered serious head injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Police say he is in a stable but serious condition.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "A 33-year-old man from Brighton was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in custody at this time."
