Faulty horn on ship at Shoreham Port keeps residents awake

The problem was first reported at 11.30pm on Friday.

A spokeswoman for Shoreham Port said: "We apologise for the severe noise disturbance over the weekend.

"A ship had an intermittent problem with its equipment and could not locate the problem.

"We have been advised that they have now fixed the fault."
