ASTRONAUT Tim Peake has donated all £250,000 of his proceeds from a best-selling collection of space photographs to charity.
The 44-year-old from Chichester chronicled his historic six-month mission to the International Space Station (ISS) through a camera lens, publishing the shots in a book called Hello, Is This Planet Earth?
He gave his author’s proceeds from the release, which featured more than 150 mesmerising images, to The Prince’s Trust.
Yesterday he presented a cheque to the charity at the Penguin Random House conference at The Barbican, London,.
Major Peake said: “It is my honour and privilege to support The Prince’s Trust.
“The work the trust does, helping disadvantaged young people move into education, work or training, is something I believe is vital.”
