Albion's future opponents Wigan have axed Warren Joyce.
The former Manchester United reserve team boss is the third Championship managerial casualty in four days following the sackings of Alex Neil by Norwich and Steve McClaren in the wake of Derby's 3-0 defeat at the Amex on Friday night.
Relegation-haunted Wigan visit Albion for their penultimate home game on April 17.
Seagulls chief Chris Hughton is among only three of the 25 longest serving managers in the country employed in the second tier, together with Ipswich's Mick McCarthy and Simon Grayson of Preston.
