Anthony Knockaert is fearless about facing Leeds and the rest of Albion’s promotion push.

The Seagulls head to Elland Road on Saturday to tackle the last of their remaining nine fixtures against a team currently in the Championship’s top eight.

They are level on points with Newcastle at the top, six ahead of Huddersfield who have a game in hand, and 11 clear of Leeds.

Winger Knockaert told The Argus: “They are all big games but as I said before we played Reading and Newcastle, for us it’s just a normal game.

“I’m not lying when I say that. It doesn’t matter where they are in the league, it’s just about us.

“If you look at the table now it’s in our hands. If we keep winning and do things right, there’s no reason why we won’t be there at the end of the season.”

Frenchman Knockaert, on target in each of the last two games against Rotherham and Derby, played in the Premier League for Leicester.

“That’s what we are fighting for and we’re not scared of anyone,” he said. “It would be shameful to be scared of someone in this league, especially with what we have achieved in the last two years.

“We are in a great position and it’s up to us now to keep it going.”

Knockaert is on 13 league goals for the season. That equals his combined tally in two Championship campaigns with Leicester, when they reached the play-offs and the following year won the title.
