Liam Rosenior believes a "fantastic" header from Chris Wood was the key moment in last night's 2-0 defeat for Albion at Leeds.
The Kiwi looped Leeds ahead in the second half. The ex-Albion loan signing added his 24th Championship goal of the season from a penalty conceded by injured captain Bruno's deputy Fikayo Tomori.
Left-back Rosenior told The Argus: "In these games against top teams it's about small margins, about getting the first goal.
"I've got to give credit to Chris Wood. It was a fantastic header. Him and Glenn (Murray) are probably the only two strikers in the league who could have put that chance away."
Albion's makeshift back four of Rosenior, Tomori, stand-in skipper Lewis Dunk and Uwe Huenemeier defended soundly for most of the match.
Rosenior said: "We expect that from each other, not just the back four, the whole team. In the first half, yes Leeds had the ball. They didn't create a thing, didn't have a single chance.
"Then in the second half they have a half-chance for Wood, which comes more from a mistake than an actual set-up.
"We had chances second half. We were pushing, looking likely to get back into it. Unfortunately it wasn't our day, but these things happen and we go again."
