Albion are licking their Leeds wounds in eastern Spain.
The squad, minus those on international duty, are in Valencia from today until Wednesday for training before a few days off in the build-up to Blackburn's visit on April 1 and the quest to finish in the top two.
Two Chris Wood goals, the second a penalty given away late-on by injured skipper Bruno's stand-in Fikayo Tomori, strengthened Leeds' position in the play-offs at Elland Road last night.
Hughton was satisfied with the performance, if not the result, attributing 19-year-old Tomori's challenge on sub Souleymane Doukara to "naivety".
He told The Argus: "I think it has to be naivety, a bit rash. I've got no complaints about the penalty, but it's a shame really. Apart from that I thought he did really well in a big, live game.
"He's a young player. Any mistakes he makes at his age now I think he'll be better for it.
"The way we set up the team they had a lot of possession in the first half, but didn't have a good chance.
"I was very comfortable at half-time. Then, probably in the period when we were better on the ball at the start of the second half, unfortunately that's when they got the goal. It's moments like that that change games.

"We lost away at Nottingham Forest and I had a lot more to say then, because I thought we were really poor. I didn't think we were poor this time."
Bruno (groin) took the decision to sit the game out after training on Friday.
Hughton said: "He came through the training. He has to be the best judge of it. He felt it wasn't (right) and certainly if we had pushed him it could have ended up being a longer one.
"I would expect Seb (Pocognoli) to be fit, Gaetan (Bong) we'll have to see. He's been out for a while and Bruno will be fine come the Blackburn game."
