WHAT do a stuffed lioness, a David Attenborough Spitting Image puppet and a Cold War ejector seat have in common?

They will all go under the hammer at the Summers Place Auction House’s latest sale on March 28.

The Billingshurst auction house is expecting bids from all over the world for the quirky items. Silke Lohmann, from Summers Place, was helping set up for the sale yesterday.

Among the items likely to attract the largest bids is a set of 19th century Italian urns which belonged to Lord Burlington who lived in Chiswick House, London.

They are expected to go for around £40,000.

The ejector seat, which dates from the mid 1970s, is expected to attract offers between £3,000 and 5,000.
