ONE of the drivers involved in a reported road rage incident was attacked and police are looking to speak to him and the driver of another vehicle.
At about 4.15pm on Thursday, March 16, two men, one driving a silver Honda CR-V and the other in a campervan, became involved in a dispute whilst going north in East Grinstead High Street.
The Honda driver was reported to be shouting and threatening the other driver.
When they reached the traffic lights outside Millets in London Road the Honda driver got out and punched the campervan driver, who was still seated in his van, several times before both vehicles drove off.
The Honda driver is described as white, 6ft, thin and his 30s, and was wearing shorts.
PC Richard Wooding of Crawley Investigations said: "Witnesses reported bring shocked and concerned by this behaviour.
“So far neither driver has reported the incident and we particularly need to contact the man in the van to see how seriously he was hurt.
"We are asking both drivers, and anyone else who saw what happened, to contact us via email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 696 of 16/03.
"You can also report online to https://sussex.police.uk/contact-us/response-to-appeal/ or call 101."
