An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire at a school.
The alarm was raised at The Weald School in Station Road, Billingshurst, just before 7pm last night.
The fire is believed to have been in a ground floor ceramics room.
A leisure centre next door was evacuated as a precautionary measure but there are no reports of any injuries.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the room had been badly damaged by fire and smoke.
The fire was out by 9pm and crews have been working to establish the cause of the blaze.
The school is open as usual this morning.
