Brighton band The Kooks are set to play two small concerts on Saturday as they announce a "best of" compilation.

The four-piece, fronted by Luke Pritchard, will play The Prince Albert on Trafalgar Street at 1pm and The Haunt in Pool Valley at 7.30pm.

Tickets are on sale from 8.30am on Saturday morning exclusively from Resident Music.

Three of The Kooks' members attended BIMM Brighton having studied at the BRIT School.

Their debut album Inside In/Inside Out was critically and commercially successful upon its release in 2006, with singles Naive and She Moves In Her Own Way charting in the UK top 10. Inside In/Inside Out peaked at number two in the album charts.

The band's album of greatest hits, The Best Of...So Far, is released on May 19.

Pritchard said: "It's been the greatest pleasure to work, travel, fight, hate and love the best and most talented people I've met in my life. It's the greatest job in the world and we don't intend to stop any time soon."

The band's intimate gigs on Saturday will showcase a few new songs as well as older fan favourites.
