TWO drivers were taken to hospital following a crash.
The accident happened on the B2203 Maynards Green Road, Horam, near Heathfield.
An orange Peugeot 106 travelling south was involved in a collision with a silver Vauxhall Zafira travelling in the opposite direction.
This was about 200 metres north of the road’s junction with Vines Cross Road.
The Peugeot driver, a 22-year-old man from Hailsham, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious injuries.
The Vauxhall driver, a 33-year-old man from Heathfield, suffered a broken arm and was treated at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
Four passengers in his car - a woman of 33 and three children, aged six, four and one - were unhurt.
Anyone who saw what happened or who noticed either vehicle being driven shortly before the crash, which happened shortly before 7.45pm on Friday, is asked to contact Sussex Police.
