A MAN has appeared in court charged with firearms offences.
Richard Gray, 36, of Cortis Avenue, Broadwater, Worthing, was charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of a knife in Victoria Park, Worthing, on Thursday.
He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and pleaded not guilty to both counts.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on May 15.
Police locked staff and students in two primary schools after being called last week.
