A STRICTLY Come Dancing-style contest helped raise hundreds of pounds for charity.
Dancing group I Charleston kick started the Brighton Fringe with a competition in the Spiegeltent in aid of city-based charity Whoopsadaisy, which helps children with cerebral palsy. Workshops and performances by professional dance troupe Savoy Kicks with live music from The Soultastics and DJ Basschimp all took place before the competition. The group trained three Hilton Brighton Metropole staff – Elizabeth Matthews, Agne Augulyte and Agata Balazinska – for a month before pairing them with a professional dancer partner. They took to the floor to win votes from the audience of some 200 people and helped raise more than £750. The hotel’s business development director Agata Balazinska won with Elena Collins.
