A cinema will have to spend £1,500 to repair an automated ticket machine after a man smashed the screen.
The vandal struck at around 6pm on Monday in the Odeon cinema in West Street, Brighton.
On his way out of the cinema the man pushed the fire exit door open so hard that he broke the hinges.
Sussex Police have said his careless attitude caused considerable damage and are asking for any witnesses to contact them on 101.
