Rebecca Kite is a Brighton and Hove bus driver and a finalist in the Miss Brighton 2017 beauty pageant.

What is your favourite place in Sussex?

My favourite place in Sussex is definitely Brighton. I love the history and how vibrant the city is.

My favourite part of Brighton is the West Pier. I love how after everything she is still standing.

What do you love most about living in Sussex?

I love how there is so many different places to visit. There’s so much on offer for people to see. I love living by the seaside.

What advice do you have for your 12-year-old self?

To be more confident and not worry about what people think. Also not worry so much about what to do in the future as everything fits into place.

What is your most valued possession?

My bracelet that my auntie bought me for my 18th birthday.

Sadly my auntie was killed in a car accident in 2013. So I treasure it so much.

What is your biggest regret?

My biggest regret is worrying when younger about too much how you look or how society thinks you should look.

What is your biggest fear?

Spiders. I really hate how they move quickly.

What is your proudest achievement?

My proudest achievement is becoming a bus driver and being the youngest driver.

For the Miss Brighton competition I had a sponsored walk to raise money for the two chosen charities.

They are The Connor Saunders Foundation and Amanda’s Angels.

I walked the 1A bus route from Mile Oak to Whitehawk dressed as Cinderella.

I raised a lot of money which I am extremely proud of.
