A LEWES law firm has raised £750 for children’s charity Rockinghorse at a golf day.
Mayo Wynne Baxter invited referrers and clients for a round of golf followed by lunch and prize giving.
The money was raised through the sale of mulligans and bunker fines.
The event was held at the Mid Sussex Golf Club in Ditchling and around 60 guests enjoyed bacon rolls and coffee before donning their MWB golf shirts.
After the players’ briefing by Jason Edge, marketing director at Mayo Wynne Baxter, the teams headed off to their tees for an enjoyable sunny day.
All players were kept fed and watered throughout the day, including chocolate and water bottles brought to them after the first few holes by the marketing team at MWB.
They were then served an Indian buffet lunch and drinks.
A golf lesson was also held by the club pro Lee Andrew for guests who were new to the game or felt like brushing up on their skills.
Winners and losers were announced and prizes and trophies handed out.
The winning team was Richard King from Advanta, Mike Tingly of Hunt Commercial Property Ltd, Dan Fox from ER Property Developments Ltd and Barry Hough of Property Matters.
