A DRIVER had to be cut free from his car after losing control of his car and crashing into a tree.
The accident happened at about 2am this morning on the A272 at Ansty, near Haywards Heath.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to deal with the incident.
The 26-year-old driver of the VW Golf, a man from Haywards Heath, had to be cut free from his car by firefighers.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, with serious leg injuries.
His passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Burgess Hill, was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to deal with the incident.
