A TRIO using a dinghy to go foraging at sea inadvertently caused an emergency call out.
The RNLI Littlehampton lifeboat was called out on Tuesday evening following a 999 call from a member of the public who said the dinghy was getting into difficulties.
The caller suspected the crew were clinging to the posts at the entrance to the town’s harbour. entrance.
However when the lifeboat arrived, it was clear the crew was not in any distress.
After checking with the initial caller it was the same dinghy, the lifeboat crew were stood down.
