YOUTUBE star Alfie Deyes has made a plea for privacy with fans turning up to his Brighton mansion now a daily occurrence.
The 23-year-old, who is thought to be worth £4 million, told The Daily Telegraph that followers have found out where he lives with fellow internet star Zoella and knock on the door and ask for pictures.
He told the national newspaper: “Every single day, parents drive their kids over – and the adults are the ones who get annoyed when we say we won’t do pictures.
“They lift their kids onto the walls around our house, and throw stuff over. I’m always polite, but the way I see it, not even my mum turns up uninvited.”
In the wide ranging interview with the national paper, Deyes said he struggles to maintain a private life while putting himself on show to his millions of followers each day.
He said: “I value my personal relationships, so am always super-cautious about how much I show of us.
“It’s always on my mind. We never kiss on camera or anything like that.
“It is challenging, There’s a very fine line between me filming my life and me living my life.”
The London-born star moved to Brighton with his family aged three with his dad Nick, who works in IT, and mum, Amanda, a former social worker.
When his YouTube channel took off he moved back to London with a friend but soon became disillusioned with the capital.
He said he is now happier than ever to be back in his adopted home city.
Speaking about London, he said: “It was so hectic that I woke up feeling tired every day.
“When you walk around the Lanes in Brighton, everyone’s head is up. In London, everyone is looking down.”
Alfie and Zoella, real name Zoe Sugg, moved to a new home in Brighton and Hove earlier in the summer.
In a video blog on their Youtube channel the pair showed followers around the home and garden.
They previously lived elsewhere in a different city home in 2015 complained that fans were ringing their doorbell and peering over the wall of the garden.
