A CHART-topping pop star has had some strong words for his fans who hampered a charity auction.
Brighton-born singer Conor Maynard said he was “truly disgusted” by the behaviour of some of his fans who had bid for a signed poster, raising money for brain cancer charity Charlotte’s BAG, and then failed to pay up when their bid won.
The charity is of personal significance to the 24-year-old singer who went to Cardinal Newman school with Charlotte Eades, in whose memory the charity has been set up.
The Vegas Girl singer said he had never felt more let down and seriously hoped it would never happen again.
Maynard has generously vowed to put the matter right himself by doubling the top bid and paying for it himself.
Fans can still bid for a poster and personal video message. For more information visit ebay.co.uk.
