WEST End actor Oliver Tompsett joined students at Ariel drama academies for a day-long workshop called Acting through Song.
Oliver lives in Burgess Hill and his whose West End credits include Wicked, We Will Rock You and Guys and Dolls.
Students at the theatre company - based at Bolney near Haywards Heath - were keen to develop their musical theatre skills.
Ariel principal, Erin Sheehan, who observed the workshop, said: “Students were focused and keen to learn as many new skills as possible from Oliver.
“They took on board all the advice given to them and by the end of the day the development I witnessed in each of their performances was astounding’.
Ariel covers the Crawley, Haywards Heath, East Grinstead, Burgess Hill and Steyning areas of Sussex.
