UCKFIELD hosted a successful Weald on the Field despite rain showers.
About 2,000 people flocked to Luxford Field in Uckfield to enjoy stalls selling local produce, street food and drink.
There was something for all the family with a collection of children’s activities.
There was also music from 12 noon until 8pm.
Featured musical entertainment came from Noble Jacks and Red Butler, Swagger, John Crampton and Penny for the Workhouse.
The event was organised by Food Rocks, Uckfield Town Council and Wealden District Council with support from the Tesco Bags of Help scheme and Uckfield Chamber of Commerce.
A spokesman said: “Despite a couple of showers, the British attitude to weather shone through, and festival goers held out until the headline act Red Butler stole the show at the end of the day.
“It was a fantastic day with a great atmosphere and we hope we can bring this day to Uckfield again next year.”
Mayor Louise Eastwood opened the event.
