A MAYOR took a look around two hospices to learn more about their work.
Worthing mayor Alex Harman went to St Barnabas House in Worthing and Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice near Arundel. He was given a tour by Hugh Lowson, chief executive of both hospices.
Councillor Harman said: “Everybody in Worthing will know of St Barnabas or Chestnut Tree House combined and know what they do and who they are.
“To be able to come down and see what goes on here and have an idea of the size and the scale of the operation is absolutely incredible.”
He supported St Barnabas when he attended and gave a pre-walk speech at its annual Night to Remember walk in June.
