UNIVERSITY of Brighton student Chloe Pollard has been crowned under-23 Aquathlon world champion.
Chloe, studying physiotherapy at the university’s Eastbourne campus, took part in the International Triathlon Union World Championships in British Columbia, Canada, as part of the Great Britain team.
For her under-23 Aquathlon race, Chloe dominated the 1km swim and finished the 5km run well in front of rivals from Canada and Australia.
The success comes on the back of her winning silver in the recent UK National open swimming championships and her European gold at the Aquathlon Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, in May.
Chloe is about to start her third year at the university.
She balances her studies and placements around training at the University Sports Centre in Denton Road, Eastbourne.
