A CONCERT headlined by The Human League scheduled for tonight has been cancelled because of poor weather.
The pop band were due to play Brighton Racecourse with support from Marc Almond.
Organisers said the decision was "difficult" to make but added they had been forced into cancelling the gig due to the "high winds that the area is currently experiencing".
Brighton Racecourse will offer a full refund to those who had bought tickets to the concert. These will be processed within the next two weeks via the method through which the tickets were booked.
All tickets for tonight's gig will also be valid for tomorrow night's event, Hacienda Classical, which will go ahead as forecasts predict the winds to drop within the next 24 hours.
Organisers said: "This decision was made in the interests of the health and safety for our customers as well as the stage crew and artists."
