SIX fire engine crews battled a blaze that left a bungalow destroyed.
Firefighters went to the home in Kingston Close, Shoreham, after fire broke out at the property around 2pm yesterday.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS) sent six fire engines to tackle the blaze using jets and hoses in order to bring the flames on the ground floor and in the roof space under control.
It is believed the occupants were out at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters brought the fire under control by 4.11pm.
According to a WSFRS spokeswoman the ground floor suffered 75 percent heat, fire and smoke damage, while the roof was completely damaged.
Fire investigators are now conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire.
