A PARAGLIDER’S journey took a turn for the worse when he got caught in a tree.
He was drifting north of the Devil’s Dyke area between Fulking and Poynings, north of Brighton, when he got himself into a spot of bother yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services had to go to the man’s rescue, with West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS) called to the scene at 2.53pm.
There was one fire engine along with a technical rescue unit to remove the paraglider from the tree.
The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was also called to help.
A spokeswoman for WSFRS said no injuries were reported yesterday.
