POLICE still do not know the identity of The Grand hotel bomb hoaxer.
Brighton city centre was cordoned off for five hours during the scare on Sunday, September 10.
The Grand and neighbouring Brighton Centre, where the Trades Union Congress was being held, were evacuated after a call was made to the hotel.
But police ruled the threat was a hoax when nothing untoward was found in a search.
Police said they were investigating a “comprehensive criminal investigation” to trace the person responsible for the call as a priority.
But more than a week on, they said there were no developments in their investigation as the Labour Party prepares to hold its conference at the Brighton Centre from Sunday.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “The investigation is continuing and there are no developments to report at this time. “
