THE FORMER friend of taxi fare dodger Jake Dean said he is owed hundred of pounds and feels betrayed and deceived by his lying.

Mike Drummond from Essex, said Dean owes him over £850.

Mr Drummond claims he loaned Dean £250 this year, which he has not received back, despite being promised it on numerous occasions.

The 24-year-old from Essex said he was invited by Dean for drinks at a bar in Canary Wharf, London, who said his ‘boss’ would pay for the drinks.

But the ‘boss’ never turned up and Dean ran away leaving the student at the bar to pay a hefty bill for champagne totting up to over £600.

Speaking outside of court Mr Drummond who met Dean through their mutual support for West Ham said : “Dean is very deceiving. I deemed him as a really good mate.

“He has come home from Dubai trying to live the high life and he posts pictures on Instagram pretending he has all this money.”

Like the cab drivers Mr Drummond was strung along with promises of payment.

Mr Drummonds mother Sue said: “We know we are not going to get the money back, but it is about stopping him from scamming other people.”

The Argus contacted Dean for comment.
