A MAN is in a serious condition being hit by a bus.
The collision took place in York Place, near St Peter’s Church, Brighton at around 12.40pm today.
Sussex Police said the road was closed while emergency services arrived on the scene.
The pedestrian is believed to be in a serious condition.
The road has now been cleared and traffic is flowing.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We responded to reports of a person hit by a bus at 12.40pm in York Place.
“Ambulance crews including two ambulances and two cars attended the scene.
“A male pedestrian suffered serious injuries.
“He was treated at the scene and taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton."
