A CAR has crashed into a house causing significant damage to the property. 

Sussex Police were called to the incident in Wilberforce Close, Crawley at around 12.10pm today after the vehicle struck the property.

A police spokesman said: "It is still in the early stages.

"A single vehicle crashed into the building.

"The driver appears to be out of the car and safe.

"There was significant damage to the building."

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are currently in attendance trying to make the building safe.

A technical rescue unit was also sent by the fire service. 

No injuries have been reported.
