A RAGING storm battered the coast in parts of Sussex last night.
Storm Eleanor sent waves crashing over the promenade at Hove seafront causing a moped to fall on its side.
The strong winds caused a tree to fall over in a car park outside a residential property in Peacehaven.
An East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "There was a flood at a residential property affecting electrics on Downside Close, Eastbourne."
Other parts of the county also saw high winds and fierce waves.
Eastbourne Market had to be called off this morning due to strong winds.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning with gusty winds expected, which is in place until around 7pm this evening.
