A MAN has been charged over a £20,000 heroin and crack cocaine drug deal in Brighton.
Mohammed Haque, 23, was arrested in Pool Valley on Monday afternoon after police were called by a member of the public who suspected a drug deal was taking place.
Officers seized more than £20,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine and a quantity of cash.
Haque, of Third Avenue in Newham, London, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
He was remanded in custody and due to appear before Brighton magistrates today.
Sergeant Karen Osborn, of Sussex Police, said: "Officers responded quickly to the report from the member of public and were able to arrest a man.
"We urge anyone who witnesses drug dealing or has information about drug dealing to contact us immediately."
If anyone sees a drug deal taking place, they should call Sussex Police immediately on 999.
