This is the moment firefighters waded through icy water to rescue two boys who had become stuck on a frozen duck pond.
Firefighters were called to the pond by Moat Road in East Grinstead around 11.10 after locals became concerned for the boys.
The pair had walked over the frozen water to reach an island in the middle, but they then became trapped.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service sent three fire engines - two from Crawley and one from Forest Row.
A technical rescue team were also sent to the scene.
Resident Amy Latter watching the incident tweeted: "Seems like people have walked across the frozen pond outside my parents house onto the island and are now stuck - resulting in 3 fire engines on site.
"Dangerous. #eastgrinstead."
The video she shot showed the firefighters breaking the ice and wading through the water, before rescuing the boys in a raft.

The fire crews left the scene at 12.03pm.
A phallus drawn in the snow can be seen on the ground close to where they were rescued.
East Grinstead Fire and Rescue Service tweeting about the incident, slammed the youths for their behaviour.
They tweeted: "Hey fellas, thanks for putting our colleagues at extreme risk. Was it worth it?"
Sussex Fire Control also posted on social media to warn others from walking on frozen bodies of water.
They said: "Do not put yourself at risk by entering frozen lakes or ponds. Stay away from the ice."
