Work is continuing at the site of the inferno at Chandler Building Supplies' warehouses.
A fire broke out in Basin Road, North Portslade at 08.44 yesterday.
As of 1pm today, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has three fire engines at the scene, a technical rescue unit and environmental protection team.
The building is now being dismantled. This is causing further smoke in the area as firefighters work to ensure any hot spots are dealt with.
Authorities continue to advise residents to avoid the area and keep doors and windows closed.
Some road closures in the immediate area remain in place.
The fire and rescue service is working alongside Building Control, the Environment Agency, the site owners and demolition crews.
More updates will be available soon.
