A STUDENT at Greater Brighton Metropolitan College has been crowned Cadet National Champion.
Tyrieq Campbell, representing Bethnal Green’s Repton in their famous green and gold, overcame Worcester City’s Jake Lee in their three round contest.
Further to his national title, Tyrieq has recently been offered a place on the England Talent Pathway where he will train every month with the best boxers in the country.
This fantastic opportunity for development is provided by England Boxing, the national governing body for the sport, who nurture emerging young talent.
Tyrieq travels to Brighton daily from his home in Croydon to study and train at the MET’s fantastic sports facilities.
On graduating, he will receive a Diploma in Sporting Excellence.
