AN historical educator is taking part in a charity run.

Wearing a full replica legionary kit, Neil Cozzi from Brighton will soldier on alongside the 500-plus runners dressed as characters such as Batman and Superwoman.

The Heroes Run is being staged by domestic violence charity RISE on Sunday May 13.

It starts and ends at Hove Lawns and will include a 500m dash for children, a youth mile, 5k and 10k.

Neil said: “RISE is a fantastic local charity and it’s great to be a quite literal knight in shining armour for them this year.

“The charity helps more than 2,500 women and children in Brighton and Hove every yearso they’re the real heroes.

“I decided to march in my armour because I’m passionate about ancient history.”

Registration closes on Wednesday and the event will start at 10am.
