Police have released these images of a woman they wish to speak to in connection with a bag theft
A bag was stolen after its owner accidentally left it in the bathroom of a cafe in Peacehaven.
Police were called and have released CCTV images of a woman they wish to speak to in connection with the theft from Costa Coffee in South Coast Road.
The victim, a man in his 40s, had been in the cafe at midday on Thursday, June 14.
He returned to the shop to retrieve his bag, but found it had been taken. It contained a passport, two bank cards, along with cash sums worth £100 and 300 Euros.
Police say the bag was a blue bum bag.
Anyone who recognises the woman, or anyone who was in the cafe at the time and saw anything has been asked to contact officers by calling 101 and quoting reference 648 of 14/06.
