Rainfall in August
THUNDERSTORMS are set to give Brighton a serious soaking as we face the wettest day of summer.
Three decades of data signal a break in the heatwave and predict August 4 will deliver 1.6 inches of rain.
So, are the blue skies, scorching sunshine and unlimited ice creams set to end or are the manufactures of wood stoves and log burners just getting desperate?
Wales and Scotland will get more rain though, with 3.1 inches north of the border.
