A DUO from Channel 4’s Gogglebox opened a new store for sound recordists in Shoreham on Monday night.

Stephen Webb and his mother Pat cut the ribbon for SAB – Sound & Lifestyle, a new store specialising in audio equipment and lifestyle items on Shoreham High Street.

Stu Bruce, 42, founder and director of the store, said: “I’ve been working on Gogglebox for the last five years so a lot of the cast have become friends.

“I asked Stephen and Pat to come down for the opening and they said yes.”

SAB Sound & Lifestyle boasts a crew of seasoned veterans from the highest level of the broadcast business who have worked on everything from Gogglebox to the Olympics to teaching Tom Cruise to skydive for the latest Mission Impossible film.

Now, they want to share their expertise and supply customers with the most trusted products from their time in the industry.

Stu said: “We started the store because we are passionate about what we do.

“I would not want to sell any product I did not believe in

“We provide audio and lifestyle equipment to support you all over the world.

“There are OverBoard bags I’ve used to walk through jungles and Oakley sunglasses I’ve worn on volcanoes.

“Our products have been tried and tested by individuals who have had more than 25 years’ experience in the broadcast industry working on every major production you could imagine.

“Now, they’re proud to put their name to this company.”

It offers a wide variety of products ranging from portable speakers to electric skateboards.

This is inspired by Mr Bruce’s own experiences as he has balanced his work as a sound recordist with his passions for skydiving, paddle boarding, skateboarding and kitesurfing.
