HUNDREDS of youngsters paraded with pride as they were presented with their certificates by Sussex Police.

The cadets went to the force headquarters at Church Lane in Lewes for their annual parade and awards.

It was attended by East Sussex Lord Lieutenant Peter Field, East Sussex High Sheriff John Moore-Bick, and Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne

Mid Sussex cadets presented their own take on comedy film Hot Fuzz, while the Brighton cadets performed their take on the Herbert Protocol to help find people with dementia who have gone missing.

There are nine cadet groups across Sussex.

The Chichester and Bognor group were the best unit of the year, while Harry Dawes from the Mid Sussex cadets was the individual of the year.
