TWO members of an Albanian drugs gang remain at large after two other gang members were jailed.

Aris Dema and Edjol Cani admitted conspiracy to supply cocaine in Brighton and Hove.

Officers from the organised crime unit arrested the duo in December 2016, along with Orges Dema and Olsi Fizzlaj, who are both still wanted.

Police believe that Orges Dema may have returned to Albania, but believe that Fizzlaj remains in the city.

The arrests in 2016 followed months of covert surveillance, and the men are wanted for a number of drugs and firearms offences.

Edjol Cani and Aris Dema admitted their crimes and were sentenced by Recorder Bruce Houlder at Hove Crown Court on Thursday last week.

Dema, of Albany Villas in Hove, admitted conspiracy to supply cocaine.

The unemployed 28-year-old was sent to prison for three years.

Meanwhile Cani, of Church Street in Brighton, also admitted conspiracy to supply cocaine, along with possessing a stun gun.

The 23-year-old car valeter was sentenced to three years in prison for the drugs offence and a further 18 months for possessing the stun gun.

Orges Dema and Olsi Fizzlaj failed to answer bail in February 2017, so police have appealed for information to find them.

Dema is slim with short dark hair and brown eyes. He is wanted for alleged conspiracy to supply cocaine and possession of a stun gun and was last known to have been living in Regency Square, Brighton.

Fizzlaj, also known as 'Slim', is tall, slim, with short mousey brown hair and brown eyes/ He is also wanted for alleged conspiracy to supply cocaine and possession of a stun gun, and was last known to have been living in Hangleton Way, Hove.

Detective Chief Superintendent Jason Tingley said: "This is another example of successful combined work to disrupt serious and organised criminality.

"Often this work is unseen, involving many months of patient and covert surveillance and intelligence-gathering so we have the right information."

He said information about the gang or about drug dealers can be reported online or by calling 101 and quoting Operation Ironside.
