FOUR fire engines have been called to a field on fire near Mile Oak yesterday.
Firefighters were called at 4.55pm and were sent to Mile Oak Farm off the A27.
Crews from Preston Circus in Brighton, Hove, Worthing, and Shoreham were also called to the blaze, along with a command unit from Lewes and a 4X4 from Seaford.
A spokesman for the fire service said the fields were well alight, and said crews have been battling the flames for the past hour.
Police are also believed to be at the scene, but the A27 remains open.
More as we get it.
